Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Parents’ Choice hold panels at CJF
The Problems and Opportunities panel involving experts, manufacturers and distributors of children’s goods, and the panel on Promotion of Domestic Manufacturers in the Context of the Decade of Childhood Action Plan have taken place within the CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2020. Spring exhibition at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
Both events were organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the expert and educational center of assistance to parents and prospective parents Parents’ Choice with support of Expocentre AO.
The first panel was dedicated to the certification and labeling of children’s clothes. Development Director of the Innovative Research and Production Center of the Textile Industry Konstantin Bandorin gave a detailed description of the existent market of children’s goods certification in our country. According to the survey that was held a year ago but remains up-to-date, the market of certification of light industry goods, including children’s goods, amounted to 1.5 billion rubles over the year. As of the survey’s moment, there were 430 players on the market – certification agencies and laboratories, which issued approximately 120,000 declarations and certificates, including 22,000 for children’s goods.
Experts, representatives of healthcare organisations and manufacturers of children’s goods who are ready to take part in the Gift for the Newborn campaign attended the other panel. This is a regional campaign sponsored by local budgets. Every new mother is provided with a package of newborn care goods the moment she leaves the maternity clinic.
Experts gave advice and recommendations on the resolution of problems highlighted by regional manufacturers of children’s goods, in particular, in regard to their participation in tenders and business development plans.
