EXPOCENTRE AO and ROSTEST Academy have organised the AQUARIUM networking session for the manufacturers, retailers and importers of children’s goods. The event took place within the conference programme of Mir Detstva and CJF- Child and Junior Fashion 2021. Autumn at Expocentre Fairgrounds.

In anticipation of the speakers' presentations and the subsequent dialogue with the industry audience, the networking moderator, Nina Moshchenskaya, Director General of ROSTEST, suggested that the existing pressing issues in the field of certification and safety of children's products be discussed in the form of live communication. This approach had a positive effect.

Using examples of regulatory changes and successfully implemented cases, ROSTEST Academy experts helped business representatives to understand the most important aspects of standardisation and regulation of children's products.

Experts from the Russian Government Office, the Federal Customs Service and Rosstandart also took part in the networking session. Representatives of the children's goods industry were able to communicate directly with the regulators, who provided competent explanations regarding changes in certification and product declaration.

The representative of Rosstandart, Anastasia Kavrusova, spoke in detail about the current regulations and technical standards of the Eurasian Economic Union for children's products. Also important for the networking audience in practical terms was the information provided by Assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation for Technical Regulation Alexey Mednikov, the customs clearance specialist Natalia Rudkovskaya and other speakers.

How to keep track of all regulatory changes and avoid punitive risks? What are "conditions of invalidity" and can certificates be invalidated ex post facto? These and many other questions in the field of technical regulation were answered and advised to the players in the children's goods market first-hand.
