Moscow Festival of Balloons
One of the Mir Detstva 2022 pavilions accommodated the 22nd edition of the Moscow International Festival of Balloons. This professional event was organised by Europa Uno Trade with the support of EXPOCENTRE AO, KODA, and the world’s leading manufacturers of balloons, accessories and equipment.
The first festival was held by the organisers at the dawn of the Russian festival movement – on 30 October 2000. The very first edition of the Moscow Balloon Festival was international. By that time, a movement of balloon designers and decorators had formed in Russia. There appeared many professionals, and the need for meetings and mutually beneficial communication had increased.
This year’s theme was The Magic Power of the Art of Balloon Design. Hundreds of thousands of balloons filled the EXPOCENTRE pavilion. The best teams of decorators from all over Russia and the world created their own balloon compositions, figures, bouquets, costumes, and much more. On the third day of the competition, the pavilion looked like an entire city of balloons.
The festival is a four-day team competition. Teams battled it out in seven categories: Big Sculpture, Secret Category, Balloon Fountain for Delivery, Balloon Costume, Black Box, 12 Minutes and a new category – the Photo Competition.
Alongside the competition programme, the festival featured workshops by international balloon design stars. The masters shared their expertise and professional secrets with beginners and experienced decorators alike.
It is the only place where you can attend a fashion show of balloon dresses and hats, see cube balloons, diamonds and accordion balloons, compositions inside large transparent balloons, and have your picture taken with floating figures.
