Post-release Mir Detstva’2012
25-28 October, Expocentre was holding the 18th International Exhibition for Goods and Services for Children and Teenagers, New Educational and Personality Development Programmes – Mir Detstva'2012.
Expocentre holds this socially significant event with the support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Government and the Children's Goods Industry Association, and under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The high international status of the exhibition and its importance for the industry are confirmed with the Approved Event Logos made to it by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).
This year, 526 companies and organizations from 32 countries, including Austria, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, the USA, Turkey, France, Switzerland, Japan and others, put on display their best goods and services on a total exhibition space of 38773 m2. The exhibition was attended by 16870 people. The average time each visitor spent there was 1.8 days.
Among the companies which were showcasing their products at the show were global industry leaders such as Adamex, Alex, Avent, Barbie, Brevi, Cam Il Mondo Del Bambino, Disney, Dorel Juvenille Group, Fisher-Pisher-Price, Gots, Gremmy, Hansa, Lego, Pali, Playmobile, Schleich, Neonato, Nuby, Inglesina, Per-Perego, Smoby, Intex, Winx and many others.
The exhibition presented feature areas such as Goods for Newborns and Infants; Games, Toys and Hobbies; and Everything for Christmas.
This year, the Mir Detstva exhibition hosted a new project called TREND ZONE. It was showcasing newest achievements products and became one of the key destinations for industry specialists according the polls.
The programme featured master-classes and interactive game presentations incorporating educational and information elements. The Christmas Trend Zone presented new trends in the Christmas industry, fresh ideas and solutions in visual and commercial merchandising.
Mir Detstva'2012 hosted the International Festival of Balloons, a fund-raising event Our Children's Home. The exhibitors and visitors could attend the Labour Exchange feature area.
Another major event on the programme was the Russian Trade Forum 'Russian Market of Goods for Children: Strategies for Cooperation with Retail Chains'.
The delegates to the Forum included manufacturers and distributors, senior managers and network purchases, as well as experts, consultants, journalists from leading media outlets and industry associations.
The exhibition hosted the Retail Chains Purchasing Centre™ for children's goods. The suppliers held face-to-face negotiations with heads of purchasing offices and commercial directors from 38 retail chains, including X5 Retail Group, Detsky Mir, Deti, Dochki-Synochky, Zdorovy Malysh and more than 30 other specialist and multiple retail chains.
The exhibition also featured an Internet Forum called Promoting Business on the Internet.
The International Competition of Companies Manufacturing Goods for Children and Teenagers, held as part of the exhibition by ANO Soyuzexpertiza of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2 nominations: for the Best Consumer Qualities Award and for the Successful Promotion of High-Quality Products Award, named its winners. They were the Lemart Company, the Mir Detstva Company, VV-Toys, AVP Invest, Nasha Igrushka, L.Argo, Inter Trade Food, Japan Trade Ltd, Snipe Trading Company, Abondance SAS, Gulliver & Co., Brendbe, Organic Trade, Mozhga Woodworking People's Plant, Agromax-Inform, Desyatoye Korolevstvo, Eksima Trading, S-Trade, the Votkinsk Plant Trading House, Garmonia, Alexandr Buntsykhin (a sole trader), Sant, Umnitsa Tsentr, Lidia Yaroshenko (a sole trader), Arkadia-Centre, Home Style, the Ovelon Trading Company and the Rif Company.
The next, Mir Detstva'2013, exhibition, will be held 24-27 September 2013 at Expocentre Fairgrounds
